Hazards caused by electrostatic attraction (ESA)
With the rapid development of science and technology, new industries such as electronics, communications, and aerospace have emerged rapidly, especially electronic products such as electronic instruments and equipment are becoming increasingly miniaturized, multifunctional, and intelligent. Therefore, high-density large-scale and ultra-large-scale integrated circuits are constantly coming out. These devices have the characteristics of short line spacing, fine wire diameter, high integration, fast running speed, low power, and high input impedance, which makes them more and more sensitive to static electricity. In applications, people gradually find that devices are damaged or fail prematurely for no reason. This phenomenon is often caused by electrostatic discharge (ESD). The hazards of static electricity are manifested in all walks of life:
(1) Electronics industry: dust absorption, causing pollution of integrated circuits and semiconductor components, greatly reducing the yield rate.
(2) Film and plastic industry: causing uneven winding of films or thin films; dust contamination of films and CD plastic discs, affecting quality.
(3) Papermaking and printing industry: uneven winding of paper, inaccurate overprinting, serious absorption of dirt, and even paper adhesion, affecting production.
(4) Textile industry: causes damages such as fluttering of roots, broken ends of entangled yarns, and tangled yarns.
Therefore, it is very necessary to use anti-static ESD products. For example, our company produces ion blowers, ion air guns, ion wind snakes and other static eliminators. There are also anti-static tapes, anti-static clothing, anti-static wrist straps, etc., which can help you avoid the harm caused by static electricity.
