How to prevent electrostatic hazards in industrial production
How to prevent electrostatic hazards in industrial production? Anti-static expert-Zhongming Technology pointed out: To prevent static electricity, we must first try not to generate static electricity; the static electricity that has been generated should be limited as much as possible to make it less than dangerous. Secondly, the generated charge is leaked or neutralized as soon as possible, thereby eliminating the large accumulation of charge. The following are the common measures we often take to prevent static electricity hazards in our industrial production:

1. Reduce friction and electrification
At present, the standards for controlling the flow rate are not uniform in all countries in the world.
In short, when determining the flow rate, not only the inner diameter of the pipeline should be considered, but also the influence of various factors such as the nature of the fluid, the composition and quantity of impurities contained, and the material of the pipeline.
Even if the flammable liquid flowing in the pipeline has a higher average charge density, it often does not show a higher voltage due to the larger capacitance in the pipeline, and because there is no air in the pipeline, it will not cause Burn and explode. In this case, although static electricity does not pose a danger inside the pipeline, its serious hazards are mainly at the outlet of the pipeline, which must be paid attention to.
2. Electrostatic grounding
The function of static grounding is to discharge the electric charge that may accumulate on the conductor, make the conductor and the earth equipotential, and make the potential difference between the conductors zero.
3. Reduce resistivity
When the resistivity of the substance is less than 106 Ω.cm, the accumulation of static charge can be prevented. Method to reduce resistivity: A. Add conductive filler; B. Use antistatic agent.
4. Increase air humidity
When the relative humidity of the air is above 65-70%, a very thin water film is often formed on the surface of the object. The water film can dissolve the CO2 in the air, so that the surface resistivity is greatly reduced, and the static charge is not easy to accumulate. If the relative humidity of the surrounding air drops to 40-50%, static electricity will not easily dissipate, and a high potential may be formed. The common method to increase the air humidity is to spray water mist into the air. Rotary fan sprayers are generally used. However, the machine is not explosion-proof and must be blown in from outside the wall.
5. Air ionization method
Using a static eliminator to ionize oxygen and nitrogen ions in the air, turning the air into a conductor, can effectively eliminate the static charge on the surface of the object. Commonly used static eliminators are: (a) induction static eliminator; (b) high-voltage static eliminator.
