How to use ion fan tester


Ion fan tester is also called electrostatic charged flat panel monitor or flat panel monitor for short, or flat panel electrostatic analyzer, ion balance analyzer, etc. Its use and operation are very simple.

1 Turn on the power, the digital display glows


2 Select the charging voltage for the tablet (1kV/5kV)


3 Select the positive and negative polarity of the tablet to be charged


Rotate the switch knob to select + polarity and negative polarity.


4 "Charge" the tablet


When you press the "START OPERATION" button, the button will glow, indicating that the tablet is being powered on.


5 Clear the plate discharge


When the "CHAREG SELECTION" is at the 0 position and the "START OPERATION" button is pressed, the button will not light up at this time, and the charged tablet is cleared to zero by grounding and discharging the internal switch. The voltmeter display should be 0000V, but the last digit may be difficult to clear to 0, especially when it is affected by the environment and personnel electrification, it may be more difficult to clear to 0.


6   display adjustment (zero adjustment, calibration)


Please adjust 0 and proofread before use to improve measurement accuracy.


6.1 Zero adjustment: If the voltage display is not 0 after the flat discharge clearing operation, you can adjust the zero adjustment knob to make it display 0. Generally, it can be used after starting up, but if higher accuracy is required, it should be warmed up for more than 5 minutes to allow the machine to work stably and then carefully adjust the zero.


Because the digital display meter has high resolution and is very sensitive, you must be very careful when adjusting the zero. Generally, the last digit is less than 0, which has little effect on the measurement accuracy. For example, the relative error caused by the last 5 numbers at 5000V is only 0.1%


6.2 Proofreading: After adjusting to 0,


1. Select the charge selection high voltage source as +, and set the voltage selection Voltage Selection to 1kV, at this time the actual output is the standard voltage given at the factory.


2. Press and hold Start operation 2. Apply the standard voltage given by the high voltage factory and adjust at the same time


3. Adjust the Calibration so that the voltage display value is the standard voltage given at the factory.


7 Timer range selection


Choose the time range according to the test voltage. If the tablet is charged to 5kV, the timing can be 5kV->500V (the time when it drops from 5kV to 500V, or the time when it rises from -5000V to -500V).


If the tablet is charged at 1000V, you can only choose 1000V->100V (the time when it drops from 1000V to 100V, or the time when it rises from -1000V to -100V) timing range.


If the tablet is charged to more than 1000V, such as above 5000V, at this time, when the tablet's timing is also the voltage drops from 5000V to 1000V, the time will be counted.


8 The timer is cleared


Press ZERO CHECK to reset the timer.


After selecting positive or negative charging, the timer will be automatically cleared when you press START OPERATION.
