SL-030B Weighted Surface Resistance Tester Operation Instructions

The SL-030B weighted surface resistance tester is mainly used to measure the surface resistance and surface impedance of antistatic products. During use, place the two weights parallel to each other on the surface of the object to be measured, press and hold the red test button for approximately 15 seconds, and the screen will automatically display the temperature, humidity, and the final resistance reading multiplied by 10.

Specific operating steps are as follows:
I. Preparation

Installing the battery: Ensure the instrument's internal battery is fully charged. If the voltage is below 5V (low voltage indicator light illuminates), replace the battery promptly.
Cleaning the probe: Clean the conductive rubber at the bottom of the two weights with alcohol, ensuring the surface is free of stains to avoid affecting test accuracy.
Environmental temperature and humidity requirements: Since temperature and humidity directly affect the resistance value of antistatic materials, observe the ambient temperature and humidity data on the screen before testing.

II. Measurement Steps
Placing the weights: Place the object to be measured flat on the insulated operating table. Place the two standard weights (approximately 2.5 kg each) on the surface of the object to be measured, maintaining a distance of approximately 30 cm between them.
Connecting the instrument: Connect the instrument's test leads to the sockets on the two weights respectively. Start Test: Press and hold the red test button on the instrument for approximately 15 seconds. Read Data: The LCD screen will display the current temperature and relative humidity steadily. The surface impedance value displayed on the screen needs to be multiplied by 10 to obtain the final actual surface resistance value (unit: ohms).
