Specific Measures for Static Electricity Prevention Using the Leakage Method
There are many methods for preventing static electricity, such as grounding and neutralization. Today, we will mainly explain how to prevent static electricity using the leakage method. The leakage method involves humidification and the use of antistatic additives to promote the dissipation of static charge from the insulator. This method is called the leakage method.

(1) Adding Antistatic Additives. Antistatic additives are specially formulated auxiliary agents. Some additives, when added to insulating materials that generate static electricity, can increase the hygroscopicity or ionicity of the material, thereby enhancing conductivity and accelerating static electricity leakage; some additives themselves have good conductivity.

(2) Using Conductive Materials or Paper Insulation Materials. For mechanical parts that are prone to generating static electricity, conductive materials should be used as much as possible. Lining the inner layer of containers made of insulating materials with a conductive layer or metal network and grounding it; using conductive rubber instead of ordinary rubber, etc., will all accelerate the leakage of static charge.

(3) Humidification. Humidification is increasing the humidity of the air. Humidity has a significant impact on static electricity leakage. Increased humidity greatly reduces the surface resistance of the insulator, enhances conductivity, and accelerates static electricity leakage. Maintaining a relative humidity of around 70% can prevent the excessive accumulation of static electricity.
