"Eight Major Misunderstandings"When Testing Antistatic Rubber Mat
The anti-static rubber will be affected by the test environment during the performance test, resulting in unstable test parameters and large differences between before and after. In order to ensure the "professional, focused and meticulous" test, we have summarized eight common misunderstandings on the test of anti-static rubber, as follows:
Misunderstanding 1. Unsteady temperature and humidity conditions.
Anti-static should be a designated electrostatic protection area, and the temperature and humidity are generally controlled at 21+2OC, 45~65%, and a temperature and humidity meter for real-time monitoring can be installed. Before each test, the current temperature and humidity of the recorder must be recorded.
Misunderstanding 2. Testers who have been on the job without professional training and assessment
Anti-static rubber testers must be trained by professionals and confirmed by examination before they can take up their jobs.

Misunderstanding 3. Failure to ensure that testers and instruments are well grounded
The standard rubber test generally requires the tester to use a wrist strap to ground, and the test instrument also needs to be directly grounded (such as Terk520). Before each test, check whether the ground terminal is well connected.
Misunderstanding 4. Non-dedicated stainless steel grounding table and insulation board with unknown parameters
A dedicated test bench and spare insulating plate should be set up separately, and the test bench needs to be grounded separately.
Misunderstanding 5. The cleanliness of the contact surface between the sample and the instrument was not checked before the test
In order to ensure that the sample is not affected by surface stains during the test and interfere with the accuracy of the test, the cleanliness of the rubber surface and the surface of the instrument must be checked before the test (such as the surface of the two electrodes of the megohmmeter contacting the sample must be clean, otherwise It will also interfere with the test effect).
Misunderstanding 6. The instrument was not checked for failure before the test
Special test equipment also needs to be calibrated regularly to ensure that it works within the effective range.
Misunderstanding 7. The sample to be tested does not equilibrate enough time under the specified conditions
The sample to be tested must be equilibrated under a constant temperature and humidity test condition for a certain period of time (generally 24 hours) to eliminate the influence of external factors brought in.
Misunderstanding 8. The interference of external factors is not avoided during the test
The sample should avoid any external interference except the tester and the current sample during the test to ensure the accuracy of the result.
