Testing the Quality of Ionizing Fans

More and more factories are using ionizing fans to remove static electricity, but the testing of these fans is often neglected. Even if the fan doesn't actually blow ionized air, it's just ordinary air, which can seriously damage the product. So, is there a simple and practical way to test this?

The answer is yes, and it's very simple.

SL-001 ION AIR FAN

SL-001 Ionizing Fan

SL-002 Overhead Ionizing Blower

SL-002 Ionizing Fan

1. First, take a roll of sealing tape and an electrostatic field tester.

2. First, forcefully tear open the tape. Then, use the electrostatic field tester to test the static voltage. You'll find that the static voltage is several thousand volts or more.

3. Next, turn on the ionizing fan and blow ionized air onto the torn tape for about one second. Then, use the electrostatic field tester again to test the static voltage. You'll be surprised to find that the static voltage is only tens of volts.

This also proves that the ionizing fan I used is effective, and not just an electric fan.
