What are Antistatic Bags (ESD Bags)?
They provide electrical protection. These bags are made of materials that effectively dissipate static charges, preventing potential damage to internal electronic components. They form a barrier that helps neutralize static electricity, ensuring the safe storage and transport of delicate items such as computer components, circuit boards, and other sensitive electronic equipment.
Antistatic bags come in various sizes and styles to accommodate different items and are an important tool for preventing electrostatic discharge (ESD) incidents. By using antistatic bags, you can minimize the risk of ESD-related damage, maintain the functionality of electronic equipment, and ensure its long-term reliability.

Available options include, for example, silver metallized film and pink or black polyethylene. Polyethylene variants may also be available in foam or bubble wrap, either in sheets or bags. These bags provide multiple layers of protection against mechanical and ESD damage.
For maximum protection, the device can be packaged in a metallized PET film bag, then placed inside a pink polyethylene bubble wrap bag. Finally, the entire assembly can be packaged in a rigid black polyethylene box lined with pink polyethylene foam.
Always open these bags in an ESD-free workstation to prevent any potential ESD that could damage the contained electronic equipment. Following proper procedures and utilizing an electrostatic-free working environment can ensure the integrity and safety of sensitive equipment.
