What are the methods of industrial static elimination

1. Change the conductivity

The antistatic agent can be sprayed onto the surface of the insulator to form a conductive film that prevents the insulator from being charged. Although this is a simple solution, the film does not last long and requires frequent spraying.

Another method is to directly mix conductive elements, such as carbon or metal particles, in the raw material of the insulator.

2. Humidity Control

Generally, static electricity occurs more in winter than in summer.

This is mainly due to the influence of environmental humidity.

Higher humidity will produce more moisture on the surface of the insulator.

Water is conductive and forms a film on the surface of the insulator. In turn, this reduces the resistance of the insulator and leads to a reduction in charge.

3. Static Eliminator

Although conductivity and humidity control may be effective for removing static charges from insulators, this effect is not permanent and can be expensive. Again, these methods may not be possible for certain materials. An effective way to solve these shortcomings is to use static eliminators.

The static eliminator can eliminate static electricity by neutralizing the target with positive and negative ions.

Unlike conductivity measures, static eliminators are easy to install in existing areas and provide long-term effectiveness at low cost.

Compared with humidity control equipment, it occupies a smaller footprint, so it is more efficient and economical to implement.
