Anti-static tactics for electronic workshops



First of all, from the perspective of the mechanism of static electricity, we should start with reducing the insulation of related objects so that the two objects will not generate or generate less static electricity even if they are rubbed. There are some main measures for this:
1. Keep the environment at a certain humidity. Practice has proved that in the northern regions or in dry winters, there are far more cases of failures due to static electricity than in the southeast coastal areas or other seasons. Therefore, it should be considered in some important places, such as computer rooms, laboratories, and electronic equipment assembly and adjustment workshops. The problem of maintaining a certain humidity, especially for those closed air-conditioned rooms, should have certain humidity control equipment.
2. Lay anti-static floor or carpet. At present, there are plastic floor or carpet products with certain conductivity, which can effectively inhibit static electricity generated by people's walking.
3. Use ion air guns, ion heads, ion rods and other facilities to prevent static electricity generation within a certain range.
4. Semiconductor devices should be placed in an anti-static plastic container or anti-static plastic bag. This anti-static container has good conductivity and can effectively prevent the generation of static electricity. Of course, if conditions permit, it should be placed in a metal container or wrapped in metal foil.
5. The operator should wear an anti-static wrist strap on his wrist. This kind of wrist strap should have good grounding performance. This measure is the most effective.
