Antistatic material is also called ESD protection material

Anti-static materials are also called ESD protective materials. From the perspective of anti-static principles, they can be divided into three categories: static conduction, static dissipation, and static shielding dissipation. The three materials can be distinguished by their electrical conductivity.

Basic methods of electrostatic protection

I. Static Dissipation and Grounding

Quickly dissipate static electricity from production environments and various operations. Anti-static materials are also called ESD protective materials. From the perspective of anti-static principles, they can be divided into three categories: static conduction, static dissipation, and static shielding dissipation. The three materials can be distinguished by their electrical conductivity. The most effective way to eliminate static electricity is to directly ground and discharge the static electricity directly.

2. Static neutralization

Static neutralization is one of the important measures to eliminate static electricity. In some occasions, when it is inconvenient to use ESD protective materials, or some high-insulation and static-prone supplies must be lowered and stored on the workbench or process line, in order to ensure product quality, electrostatic neutralization measures must be taken to the operating environment. . Static neutralization is achieved by means of an ion static eliminator or an inductive electrostatic brush.

Three. Static shielding

Electrostatic shielding is usually used to shield the electrostatic field generated by high-voltage power supply and some sensitive electrode sensitive circuits, so as to avoid the wide screen band interference caused by the electrostatic field's induction and electrostatic discharge on ESDS devices and ESDS components.

IV. Humidification

As the humidity increases, the surface conductivity of non-conducting materials increases, and the static charge stored in the material volume can leak faster. In order to achieve the best control of static electricity, the humidity must be kept above 60% ~ 70%. But it cannot be widely used.
