Conductive and anti-static wheels are ideal
We have customers who produce printed circuit boards and they asked us to provide some anti-static wheels. Some wheel manufacturers offer wheels made of conductive rubber or conductive neoprene. Are anti-static and conductive the same thing?
Re: Anti-static means that the wheels roll on the floor and will not generate more than 250V. Conductive wheels may not be antistatic, but if rolled on an ESD floor, will be able to dump the charge onto the floor. A wheel that is both conductive and antistatic is ideal. When exposed to a conductor, it neither generates excess charge nor retains charge.
