Daily inspection requirements for anti-static mats/mats

Anti-static mats are commonly called table mats, electrostatic skins, table mats, etc. They are generally used in ESD-sensitive areas and are laid on work desks and racks as the operation table and grounding path of the product.

Anti-static mats are mainly made of static conductive materials, static dissipative materials and synthetic rubber through a variety of processes. The anti-static mat is generally a two-layer structure, the surface layer is a static dissipative layer, and the bottom layer is a conductive layer.

The surface layer colors are green, gray, blue, black, etc., and there are bright and matte colors; the bottom color is generally black.

With reference to ANSI/ESD S20.20-2014, the anti-static mat is a work surface, and the testing is divided into first certification and compliance verification, and compliance verification is both routine testing.

According to the working surface test requirements in ESD TR53-01-18, the test instrument needs to prepare a surface resistance tester and a DC ohmmeter.

Before testing, you need to make the following preparations:

1. Do not clean the anti-static mat;

2. Remove all ESD sensitive items on the anti-static mat;

3. Ensure that the grounding of the AC equipment ground or auxiliary ground used as the grounding reference is normal;

4. Make gadgets for AC equipment.
