Daily Maintenance and Inspection of ESD Equipment
No anti-static measure is a "set-it-and-forget-it" solution; regular and proper maintenance during daily use is essential to ensure effectiveness, extend service life, and reduce costs.
Please refer to the following guidelines for daily maintenance and inspection:

1. ESD-safe workstations: Composed of the workbench, anti-static table mat, wrist strap connection points, and grounding wires.
2. Anti-static table mats must have at least two wrist strap connection points: one for operators and one for technicians or inspectors.
3. ESD-safe workstations must be kept free of static-generating debris such as plastic boxes, erasers, cardboard, and glass; drawings and documents should be placed in anti-static document holders.
4. Anti-static wrist straps: Personnel directly handling ESD-sensitive components must wear anti-static wrist straps. The strap must maintain good contact with the skin, and the system resistance to ground should be 1 MΩ.
5. Anti-static containers: Component bags, turnover boxes, and PCB loading/unloading racks used in production areas must provide ESD protection. Metal or ordinary containers are prohibited; all containers must be grounded.
6. Anti-static workwear: Personnel entering ESD-protected areas or handling SMD components must wear anti-static workwear, especially in dry environments with relative humidity below 50% (e.g., in winter). The fabric must comply with relevant national standards.
7. Personnel entering the work area must wear anti-static footwear. Those wearing ordinary shoes must use conductive shoe straps, anti-static shoe covers, or heel grounders.
8. Conveyor belts and drive shafts on production lines should be equipped with anti-static grounding brushes and contact rods.
9. Ionizing air blowers (static eliminators) may be used on conveyor belt surfaces. 10. Assembly jigs, inspection fixtures, welding tools, various instruments, and similar equipment used in the production area must be properly grounded.
11. An anti-static testing station shall be installed at the entrance to the production area; all personnel entering the site must undergo anti-static testing and pass the test before being permitted to enter.
