ESD protection in the computer industry
For the computer industry, after the implementation of ESD protection, the product repair rate can be reduced by 2-3 points.
Implement ESD protection during the production process, including preparation before production and actual operation implementation:
Before production, ensure:
1. Wear static clothes
2. Take a good grounding ring (wrist strap or ankle strap)
3. And passed the instrument test
4. And check whether the ESD equipment is intact.
During operation:
1. Touch the work surface with both hands before taking the components;
2. Place the device pin down on the table to dissipate static electricity
3. Don't let the device drag or slide on any surface:
4. Grasp the device body of the integrated block, not the pins;
5. Non-conductors should keep a distance of more than 1 meter from the static safe working area;
6. Only take out the components and circuit boards from the anti-static packaging box only in the static safe working area;
7. Put electrostatic sensitive components in an antistatic container or packaging box;
8. Reduce the number of handling to a minimum
