Functions and Applications of Anti-Static Flooring
Anti-static flooring-also known as electrostatic dissipative flooring-is designed to allow electric charges to dissipate when grounded or connected to a point of lower potential. Internationally referred to as "antistatic flooring," these products are categorized into conductive and electrostatic dissipative types based on their surface resistance values. A variety of anti-static flooring products exist to meet specific environmental needs-such as anti-static raised access floors, all-steel anti-static raised floors, composite anti-static flooring, and aluminum alloy anti-static flooring.
