How does SMT body anti-static protection work?
There are three main tools for body anti-static protection: anti-static clothing, anti-static shoes (conductive shoes), and anti-static wristbands.
Anti-static shoes and wristbands both function by dissipating static electricity from the human body, preventing it from accumulating.
Ordinary clothing generates a high static voltage (>1000V) when walking. However, anti-static clothing does not generate this voltage when walking. This is the main function of anti-static clothing.




Long strips of anti-static clothing cannot shield static electricity generated by clothing underneath (still >1000V after wearing).
Grid-shaped anti-static clothing can provide some protection (<200V).
Generated static electricity is conducted to the main grounding wire outside the factory building through the conductive floor and various grounding wires.
