How to eliminate static phenomena in flexographic printing

Flexographic printing is no stranger to us. In the world packaging field, the rapid development of flexographic printing, the domestic flexographic printing market is not as ideal as we think. Many experts in the industry have proposed the development of label printing and corrugated board printing. Flexographic printing is a good driving force for the development of flexographic printing.

Static electricity is a problem that often occurs in the printing process, which brings a lot of trouble to the printing quality and other aspects, and is the biggest hidden danger affecting the printing quality of the label. First of all. Static electricity can entangle the material on the drive roller and the guide roller, causing the paper to be unfavorable, affecting the printing and die-cut registration. When the finished label is automatically labeled, static electricity will affect the normal labeling and even work. Secondly, from the safety point of view, if the static electricity is very serious, a discharge phenomenon will occur and a spark will appear. Discharge phenomena can occur around flammable solvents and inks that can cause fires. It is also often possible to shock the operator's body, especially the fingers, which can cause the operator to operate incorrectly and cause problems that should not occur; in terms of print quality, the static electricity is also like a magnet. It will absorb dust and fluff from the air onto the surface of the printed material. When printing, it will cause pinholes or small white spots on the graphic. Electrostatic discharge can also damage the surface coating of the material and affect the discharge of the label.

To eliminate static electricity, we can start from the following aspects: 1 Strictly control the humidity and temperature of the printing workshop, and try not to generate static electricity in the working environment. The label printer's ideal temperature is 20-25~C, and the relative humidity is 50%-60%. The current common method is to install a humidifying device in the factory, and pay attention to rubbing the ground. 2 Install a static elimination device on the machine to control it.
