How to measure electrostatic voltage

Instruments for measuring electrostatic voltage are usually divided into contact type and non-contact type. The contact type is commonly used for measuring the electrostatic voltage of active charged objects such as electrostatic generators (high-voltage power supplies). For measuring this type of static electricity, Q-V series electrostatic meters can be used. However, since the contact instrument will discharge the static electricity of the charged object when it comes into contact with the measured object, the amount of charge will decrease or the capacitance of the charged object will increase. Both of these factors will reduce the electrostatic potential of the object, so the measurement The result is quite different from the actual charged condition of the object. Therefore, the more common method for measuring the electrostatic voltage of many objects is to use a non-contact electrostatic voltmeter. The electrostatic effect of the object to be measured is very small. The commonly used instrument is the EST101 explosion-proof electrostatic voltmeter. This instrument can not only accurately and quickly measure the electrostatic voltage of the object in general places, but also can be used in places with high requirements for explosion protection. Light weight, small size, and low price, so it is widely used in the country, such as all military oil depots, ammunition, pyrotechnics, petroleum, chemical, textile, paper, rubber, printing, computer and other industries.
