Requirements for the design and use of ESD protective clothing

In terms of design, non-antistatic fabrics are generally not used for lining. When it must be used, the lining used must not exceed 20% of the total lining area. The entire garment must not use any metal accessories. When it is used, it should not be exposed directly to the surface of the garment to avoid metal discharge.

The test charge of each piece of ESD protective clothing should be lower than 0.6 microcoulombs / piece as specified in the national antistatic workwear GB12014-2009. For Class I ESD protection areas, the ESD protective clothing used should be tested in accordance with the method specified in GB12014-2009 The electric power does not exceed 0.01 microcoulombs / piece, the level II area should not exceed 0.1 microcoulombs / piece, and the level III area is below 0.4 microcoulombs / piece.

When wearing ESD protective clothing, it must be used with ESD protective shoes (anti-static shoes).

Recheck every other year according to the national standard ESD protective clothing. When the charged amount exceeds the above-mentioned value, it can not be continued to use.

Pure cotton clothing cannot prevent static electricity from accumulating in the environment with relative humidity below 40%, so it is not suitable for ESD protective clothing.
