Rubber anti-static table mat is not easy to deform
An electronic company failed to pass the ESD quality system audit and lost a large order due to the selection of anti-static PVC table mats with severe shrinkage. Why is the PVC anti-static table mats shrinking so obviously? Why is the deformation of the rubber anti-static table mat so much smaller?
An important reason for the obvious difference in deformation is caused by different materials. The most essential difference between plastic and rubber is that plastic deformation is plastic deformation, while rubber is elastic deformation. In other words, plastic is not easy to restore to its original state after deformation (refer to the following case diagram: the finished product PVC table mat shrinks significantly after laying and cannot be restored to its original state); while rubber is relatively easy. The elasticity of plastic is very small, usually less than 100%, while rubber can reach 1000% or more.

The anti-static table mat is made of rubber, and its main composition is nitrile rubber on the surface and natural rubber on the bottom. The rubber is not high in hardness, elastic, can be stretched and become longer, and can be restored to its original shape after it stops stretching. Its physical properties It is determined that the shrinkage deformation of the antistatic rubber table mat of the finished product is not particularly obvious.
