Static electricity damage to objects and anti-static protection
There is a natural phenomenon in the electrostatic type, as long as the friction between objects will generate static electricity, and the objects will be separated after contact, it will generate static electricity, triboelectricity, electrostatic induction, capacitance change, electric field and electrostatic induction. Why do electronic components need to be anti-static? Current electronic products are developing towards the development trend of small size, light weight, and powerful functions. Therefore, many microelectronic devices have been widely used. These devices are characterized by low power consumption, low voltage, high input impedance and integration. However, these devices have low resistance, allow current to pass, and are sensitive to static electricity.
Static electricity and electrostatic current always threaten these static sensitive devices, which are vulnerable to static damage or small danger at any time.
There are two types of damage caused by static electricity: hard breakdown and soft breakdown.
1. Hard failure: The component function is completely damaged and loses its function.
2. Soft breakdown: some electrostatic sensitive equipment is not easy to find after static electricity. Only after a lot of turnover, even after the formal use of electronic products, this kind of slight damage called soft breakdown will be discovered. Failure to conduct a soft breakdown without a comprehensive test will cause equipment failure under certain conditions, and the consequences will be more serious than hard breakdown.
