The harm of static electricity to industrial manufacturing

Static electricity is a kind of charge that does not flow in a static state, and the flowing charge forms an electric current. Static electricity is formed when charges accumulate on an object or surface. Static electricity has many hazards. When the aircraft body rubs against air, moisture, dust and other particles, the aircraft will be charged, which will seriously interfere with the normal operation of aircraft radio equipment. In a printing factory, static electricity between the paper sheets can make the paper sheets stick together, making it difficult to separate them. In a pharmaceutical factory, because of electrostatic adsorption of dust, the drug will not reach the standard purity; static electricity may explode due to electrostatic sparks igniting certain flammable objects. On the operating table, electric sparks can cause an anesthetic explosion, hurting doctors and patients; in coal mines, it can cause gas explosions, which can cause deaths and injuries to workers, and mines are scrapped. Electrostatic discharge measures to prevent static electricity are generally to reduce the flow rate and flow rate, transform the process links with strong electrification, and use equipment and materials with less electrification. The simplest and most reliable method is to ground the equipment with a wire, which can lead the charge to the ground and avoid the accumulation of static electricity.

The generation of static electricity is inevitable in industrial production. The harm caused by electrostatic discharge (ESD):

Cause the malfunction of electronic equipment and cause electromagnetic interference. Break down integrated circuits and precision electronic components, absorb dust, cause pollution of integrated circuits and semiconductor components, and reduce production yield. High-voltage electrostatic discharge causes electric shock, endangering personal safety. It is very easy to cause explosion and fire in the production site of flammable and explosive products or dust and oil mist.

A perfect and effective anti-static system project should formulate corresponding countermeasures according to the actual conditions of different enterprises and different operating objects. Anti-static measures should be systematic and comprehensive, otherwise, it may get twice the result with half the effort, or even cause destructive reaction.
