The influence of grounding effect on ESD protection
In recent years, electrostatic protection has become the most concerned issue of people, and more and more companies have begun to attach importance to electrostatic protection. Below we mainly understand the impact of grounding effect on electrostatic protection:

Grounding provides a good discharge channel for electrostatic shock, so that the static charge accumulated on the charged body can be smoothly discharged, and it is quickly led to the ground, avoiding the discharge of sensitive components. The quality of the grounding effect directly affects the overall electrostatic protection effect. If the grounding effect is poor, the entire anti-static system will fail, and the product will be in a danger of being full of static electricity. One link is kept unobstructed to ensure the safe discharge of static electricity.
Static electricity is the most active factor in the ESD process. Operators entering the EPA environment must wear anti-static clothing and wrist straps. The workbench must be covered with anti-static table mats. Anti-static wrist straps are more appropriately called "discharge" electrostatic wrist straps. The wrist strap and workbench pad provide a clear path for static electricity to reach the ground, so that the charge carried on the wearer's body is close to zero volts. For people with frequent activities, anti-static shoes, socks, heel and toe straps should be connected to the static dissipative floor to release static charges. If only from the perspective of "discharging" static electricity, the lower the resistance to ground of the human body, the better, but taking into account safety factors, the human body must have a certain resistance to ground. Resistance can limit the current flowing through the operator's body, so usually a resistance of not less than 1M should be inserted in the connection between the wrist strap, toe strap and the ground wire. The static charge on insulators such as ordinary plastics cannot be eliminated by grounding, but it can be neutralized by charges of opposite polarity.
