What are anti-static fabrics?

Currently, there are three main types of anti-static fabrics in use.

1. Utilizing the humidity dependence of the anti-static effect. Through anti-static finishing, hydrophilic polymers (surfactants) are added during spinning to allow the fabric to absorb moisture from the air, reducing surface impedance, minimizing static electricity accumulation, and effectively dissipating static electricity from the human body.

2. Utilizing the conductivity of fibers. Antistatic agents and carbon black particles are added to the fibers of workwear to create conductive fibers. Through blending, interlacing, knitting, interweaving, or interweaving, the conductivity of the fibers or fabric is enhanced, creating anti-static fabrics that dissipate charge and prevent static electricity accumulation.

3. Blended fabrics are created by mixing a certain amount of metal fibers into the fibers of T-shirts (workwear). These fabrics offer excellent stability and washability. "Anti-static Work Clothes" (GB12014-1989), listed in the Catalogue of Special Labor Protection Products, are made from anti-static fabrics to prevent static electricity accumulation in clothing. They are suitable for use in fire or explosion hazardous areas. The anti-static fabric used is primarily made by interweaving anti-static fibers, synthetic fibers, or a combination of both, at roughly equal intervals or evenly during the weaving process. All cleanroom work clothes, anti-static work clothes, and anti-static wool sweaters worn in fire and explosion hazardous areas are subject to safety sign management.
