Anti-static clothing product introduction

Anti-static clothing refers to work clothes sewn according to the specified style and structure with anti-static fabric as the fabric to prevent the accumulation of static electricity on the clothing. The electricity elimination is based on two mechanisms: leakage and neutralization of charge. When grounded, the static electricity on the fabric is neutralized by the corona discharge of the conductive fiber, and can also be discharged to the ground through the conductive fiber; when it is not grounded, the weak corona discharge of the conductive fiber is used to dissipate electricity.

Anti-static clothing can reduce static voltage and accelerate static discharge, but cannot completely eliminate static electricity. The material of the underwear will also have an impact on the static electricity of the human body, so wearing anti-static clothing should reduce the exposure of underwear. my country's national standards stipulate that all clothing should use anti-static fabrics, and generally do not use linings. When linings must be used, the exposed area of the linings should not exceed 20% of the inner area of the entire clothing. Metal parts (such as buttons, zippers) are generally not allowed on anti-static clothing, and metal accessories should not be exposed directly when using them. It is forbidden to attach or wear any metal objects on anti-static work clothes. When wearing, all the buttons of the work clothes should be fastened, and try not to make them close to undressing. The work clothes should be washed as simple as possible to avoid the work clothes subject to strong mechanical and chemical washing. Several pieces of anti-static work clothes purchased in batches should be randomly selected to test the charge before being worn. After wearing for a certain period of time, especially when the wearer feels electric shock while undressing, retest should be carried out. Changing work clothes should be done in a special locker room, especially in static sensitive areas. Anti-static work clothes are not allowed to be worn or removed.

Anti-static work clothes are mainly used in fire and explosion dangerous places. The national standard divides gas explosion dangerous places into the following 3 levels according to the frequency, duration and degree of danger of explosive substances: Level 0 area: Under normal circumstances, the explosive gas mixture is connected to the ground , Places that frequently appear for a short time or exist for a long time; Level 1: Areas where explosive gas mixtures are likely to appear under normal conditions; Level 2: Areas: Under normal conditions, explosive gas mixtures cannot appear, only under abnormal conditions A place that occasionally appears for a short time. Those who belong to the 0-level area and the first-level area of the gas explosion dangerous place, and the minimum ignition energy of the combustibles is below 0.25mJ, should be equipped with anti-static work clothes. Gas station operators, LPG filling workers and similar types of work must be equipped Anti-static overalls.

Anti-static clothing should be worn as a set, while anti-static gloves, hats, etc., have little anti-static effect when used alone.

With the progress of society, the application of anti-static clothing has become more and more widespread. The finishing methods that use humidity dependence include external antistatic agents, internal antistatic agents and fiber modification methods. Cotton products are used instead of anti-static work clothes. Its performance is unreliable. The development of conductive fiber goes through three stages: metal fiber, surface carburized fiber and composite spinning fiber, among which composite spinning represents the development direction of conductive fiber. Anti-static clothing should have strict processing, wearing and use specifications.
