2. How to use
1. Put a 9V dry battery in the battery slot behind the tester.
2. Insert the banana plug of the ground wire into the ground wire socket at the upper end of the HAKKO-498 tester.
3. Tighten the wrist strap tightly.
4. Connect the ground wire to the wrist strap.
5. Press the tester board by hand. At this time, the LCD indicator lights up and a beep can be heard.
(1) If the green "GOOD" light is on, it means that the grounding system is good.
(2) If the red "LOW" light is on, check the resistance between the hand strap and the ground wire. When it is less than 800 kilohms, it will affect human safety.
(3) If the red "HIGH" light is on, check whether the hand strap is fastened to the wrist, and check the resistance of the ground wire of the hand strap to ensure that the hand strap is not loosened from the tester ground wire.
Three, matters needing attention when using
1. The connection between the electrostatic strap and the ground wire;
2. The contact impedance between the electrostatic strap and the skin;
3. Connection with grounding tools such as anti-static connecting plates and mats;
4. After about 50,000 operations, when the green "GOOD" light is still on, but there is no sound, it means that the battery needs to be replaced.
