Electrostatic enhancement and leakage

Electrostatic generation is formed by many factors. When the two objects in contact with each other are different in material, the contact potential difference of the interface double layer is also different, and the electrification strength is also different.

Contact between two objects that are far apart in the electrostatic sequence causes a large difference in contact potential. Sometimes impurities are added to increase the static electricity. When the addition of impurities reduces the resistivity of the original material, it is beneficial to the leakage of static electricity. Electrostatic generation is often manifested as an interfacial phenomenon that increases static electricity when the surface of the solid material is contaminated with water and its dirt. Rough surface increases static electricity; oxidation of the surface also increases static electricity.

When the contact area and pressure increase, the static electricity can be increased. The higher the separation speed, the stronger the static generated. The generated static electricity is approximately proportional to the square of the separation speed. The electrification process changes the surface characteristics of the object and changes the charging characteristics. Under normal circumstances, the initial or initial electrification is strong, and the repetitive or continuous electrification is weak.
