Grounding Effect of Antistatic Flooring
Antistatic flooring, also known as dissipative static flooring, is made primarily of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resin, with added conductive materials, stabilizers, plasticizers, and colorants, processed using a special technique. This product utilizes a conductive network formed at the interface of plastic particles, providing permanent antistatic properties. Its appearance resembles marble patterns, offering excellent antistatic decorative effects.
Static electricity in computer rooms is one of the most frequent and difficult-to-eliminate hazards. Static electricity can cause random malfunctions, misoperations, or calculation errors in computer operation, and can also lead to the breakdown and damage of certain components, such as CMOS, MOS circuits, and bipolar circuits. Furthermore, static electricity has a significant impact on computer peripherals. Using PVC antistatic flooring effectively ensures the security of computer data.

After installation, antistatic flooring (including ceramic antistatic flooring) must be grounded and connected to a protective resistor box to achieve its antistatic effect. In anti-static grounding, grounding wire connections are primarily used for connecting anti-static table mats to grounding sockets. This effectively discharges static electricity generated by the human body or the table mat during production to the ground.
Anti-static grounding wires mainly consist of static grounding wire components, including polyurethane straight or spring-loaded wires. Both ends have suction cups, claw studs, ring terminals, female buckles, and alligator clips. For simple grounding of table mats, one end uses a 10mm universal female buckle to connect to the table mat or floor mat, and the other end connects to a common grounding point. The 10mm snap fastener is precision injection molded and features green-yellow wiring, making it aesthetically pleasing, sturdy, and durable. For universal grounding wires for table mats, claw-type metal buckles are often included for easy direct installation on the mat. The other end of the grounding wire is equipped with a banana plug and alligator clips for easy insertion into the grounding socket and direct clamping of the grounding wire, allowing for rapid discharge of static electricity generated during operation.
