How does the anti-static table mat prevent static electricity?

In the production process of many factories, anti-static table mats are indispensable. They can effectively prevent and avoid static electricity and are an effective anti-static material. So what is the internal structure of the anti-static table mat? What is its working principle?
First of all, the anti-static table mat is made of its anti-static material and various rubbers and additives mixed and then heat-sealed. Its internal structure consists of two parts. The first layer of structure is the anti-static consumable layer extruded by forging. The thickness of this layer is generally controlled at about 0.5 mm. The common color is generally green, and some are gray, blue, black and other colors. This layer is the surface layer of the anti-static table mat, and its surface resistance is 10 to the 3rd to 5th power ohms. From the perspective of glossiness, there can be a difference between light and matte. The second layer is a conductive layer, and the color is uniformly black. This layer is thicker than the first layer, which can reach more than 0.5mm, generally 1.5mm, and its surface resistance is 10 to the 3rd to 5th power ohms.
Secondly, from the main function point of view, different layers have different effects. The bottom black conductive layer of the anti-static table mat often needs to be connected to the ground wire to achieve its conductive performance, so as to truly achieve the effect of conducting away static electricity. The surface anti-static layer of the anti-static table mat can reduce the excessive generation of static electricity due to friction and tearing during use, and at the same time accumulate static electricity on the surface and then transfer it to the bottom conductive layer. This is also the working principle of the anti-static table mat to eliminate static electricity.
