The anti-static clothing that has just been purchased or just cleaned generally needs to be tested for the performance of anti-static clothing.

But before doing the anti-static surface resistance test, we need to observe its appearance first, because the fabric and process of anti-static clothing affect the performance of anti-static clothing.


The surface of the anti-static clothing should be free of damage, spots, and dirt; the sewing of the anti-static clothing should be free of skipped stitches and broken threads, and there should be "back stitches" at the beginning or end of the sewing of the two pieces.


After checking the appearance, let's carry out the surface resistance test of the anti-static clothing. Before the test: prepare the test equipment weight-hammer resistance tester, keep the temperature of the test environment at 18~25℃, and the relative humidity RH=40~60%. Hang the garment to be tested in a standard environment for 24 hours to balance; connect the surface resistance tester with wires, and the tester wears anti-static overalls, wears a wrist strap and is grounded. Start the test: Lay the balanced garment on the insulating board; place the two weights of the surface resistance tester on the same surface of the garment to be tested, and the distance between the two weights is 20cm; press the test button to test , observe the direct reading on the display screen of the instrument, this reading is the surface resistance test value (unit Ω) of the tested sample, and the test result is between 105 and 1011, which is a qualified product.
