Methods for Testing Static Electricity in the Human Body
Common methods for comprehensive static electricity testing of the human body include:
(I) Simple comprehensive static electricity tester. This is an older and common method, but due to the many shortcomings and loopholes mentioned above, and the difficulty in gaining trust and satisfaction from clients through manual recording, it is gradually being rejected by customers. Professional OEMs and manufacturers have gradually upgraded to anti-static access control systems.
(II) Comprehensive static electricity tester + access control or electronic access control. This method further integrates static electricity testing with enhanced access control. It combines with turnstiles, wing gates, or electronic locks. When the static electricity tester passes, it sends an opening signal to the electronic lock or access point, allowing entry or opening only after the test is passed. Combining with turnstile access control is more common. Although it enhances access control, the disadvantage is that ESD test reports are not available, and shoe testing or full testing must be performed manually via dialing, which is inconvenient for management.

(III) Human Body Comprehensive Tester + ESD Card Access Control System + ESD Report Management Software. This approach further integrates human body anti-static testing with card and software control. Currently, some clients focus on verifying daily ESD anti-static testing through ESD reports, and do not accept manual checklists or management-level refined management methods. Therefore, some larger enterprises, due to limited access space, large personnel, or high costs associated with multiple entrances, prioritize the reporting and database management of ESD test records. This generates ESD test reports for each department or individual and analyzes test status, saving on manual management costs and report checks. The disadvantage of this approach is that it cannot effectively prevent untested personnel from entering the electrostatic protection area. However, the ESD report software can automatically email reports of abnormal test results and untested personnel to notify managers for appropriate action.
(IV) Human Body Comprehensive Tester + Access Door + ESD Card Access Control System + ESD Report Management Software. This approach achieves the best of both worlds, combining enhanced control with information management. ESD test records can be managed and used in a variety of applications. This is currently the most appreciated method by customers and management.
