Our lives and production are frequently intertwined with static electricity, which can directly or indirectly cause varying degrees of harm to our work. National regulations stipulate that all cleanroom and antistatic workwear used as workwear, especially in potentially hazardous fire or explosion environments, are subject to safety signage management. Furthermore, the state sets requirements for antistatic workwear regarding its structure, antistatic performance, and strength. The garment's construction directly affects its antistatic effectiveness; therefore, the structural design of antistatic workwear must ensure the following:



Generally, metal accessories should not be used on antistatic clothing. If metal buttons or zippers must be used, it must be strictly ensured that the metal accessories are not directly exposed when worn to prevent sparks from electrical discharge, which could lead to fire or explosion.
In cleanroom production operations, the human body is the largest source of static electricity. Wearing antistatic clothing aims to minimize dust contamination from the body and prevent the generation of spontaneous static electricity. Simultaneously, it's crucial to ensure the cleanroom garment system itself does not become a dust source. This requires selecting fabrics with fibers that are not easily shed and have excellent static dissipation properties. After garment production, they must be washed with pure water and vacuum-packed before being used in cleanrooms.
Antistatic workwear has a certain degree of durability in its antistatic properties. When selecting antistatic workwear, the washing requirements determined by the level of contamination in the workplace must be considered to choose workwear with the appropriate antistatic level.
Therefore, antistatic workwear with flame-retardant properties should generally be chosen for use in fire and explosion-prone areas, providing more reliable protection for workers. Antistatic workwear used by gas station operators and similar workers should also have oil-resistant properties.
However, it may not necessarily meet the requirement that the charge on a single garment be less than 0.6μC, which is essential for antistatic workwear. All-cotton workwear is effective in preventing static electricity generation. Especially after washing, the anti-static effect will decrease due to the choice of detergent and other factors. Therefore, you should be careful when choosing anti-static work clothes made of cotton fabric, especially in dry southern regions.
