Analysis of the Functions of Antistatic Gloves
Antistatic gloves are primarily used in cleanrooms to prevent static electricity generated by the human body from damaging products. They are mainly made of special antistatic glove fabric, with a base material composed of polyester and conductive fibers. The conductive fibers are spaced 4mm apart, giving the gloves excellent elasticity and antistatic properties.
Antistatic gloves are essential for workers in the semiconductor and optoelectronic industries. These industries require antistatic environments to prevent damage and aging of electronic components caused by static electricity. In the petrochemical industry, they prevent hazards such as combustion and explosion caused by static electricity. Antistatic gloves also eliminate the harmful effects of static electricity on the human body and eliminate the unpleasant sensation caused by static electricity during movement or when putting on and taking off the gloves.
Secondly, it is recommended to use antistatic wrist straps simultaneously. Personnel who directly contact static-sensitive devices should wear antistatic wrist straps. The wrist strap should have good contact with the skin and must be non-irritating and non-allergenic. The wrist strap system's resistance to ground should be within the range of 10⁶–10⁸ Ω.
