Commonly Overlooked Aspects in PU Antistatic Shoe Testing

PU antistatic shoes can conduct static electricity from the human body to the ground, thus eliminating static electricity on the body and effectively suppressing dust generated by personnel walking in cleanrooms. PU antistatic shoes use PU, a dissipative material, to make the sole, which is integrally molded with the upper and then reinforced with stitching. This effectively dissipates static electricity, forming a complete antistatic system together with antistatic clothing.

Whether PU antistatic shoes are qualified requires testing. A crucial aspect of the testing process that is often overlooked is the environmental requirements. The temperature should be 20℃±2℃; the relative humidity should be 30%±3%. The test sample should be placed under the specified environmental conditions for at least 24 hours. If the test cannot be conducted within the specified environment, it must be completed within 5 minutes after the test sample is removed from the environment; otherwise, the accuracy of the test will be affected.

Testing PU antistatic shoes is very important. It is recommended to perform a resistance test every 200 hours during use to ensure good antistatic performance.
