How to Prevent Static Electricity in an Electronics Processing Plant Workshop

1. Use anti-static materials, such as anti-static PVC flooring, anti-static workbenches, anti-static clothing, anti-static gloves, and anti-static trays. Lay anti-static flooring; the factory floor must have a certain resistance to the ground so that objects placed on it can dissipate static electricity. Therefore, special flooring or anti-static paint must be used.

2. Grounding devices for all equipment and personnel, including equipment grounding, wrist strap grounding, and tool grounding. Wear anti-static clothing and shoes. Personnel entering the workshop must wear special anti-static clothing and anti-static shoes with a certain impedance to effectively dissipate static electricity generated during operation. Wear anti-static wrist straps; personnel touching new products must wear special anti-static wrist straps to dissipate static electricity generated during operation.

3. Use ion generators to neutralize static electricity, such as ion fans, anti-static bars, ion nozzles, and ion air knives, to neutralize static electricity on a target object. Applying these methods in an electronics workshop effectively improves product qualification rates and reduces electrostatic discharge damage. Ionizing fans are installed at specific workstations, especially those where product handling is frequent. These fans neutralize the static charge on the products by using positively charged ions generated by the centrifugal fan.

Air showers primarily remove dust from personnel and prevent it from being brought into the workshop. Their placement should be determined based on the company's specific circumstances. If standards cannot be met, a simple fan installed at the workshop entrance can still be effective.
