How to improve employees' ESD protection awareness
What are the challenges of ESD management? In the workshop, you often encounter people who violate regulations, or even your boss or customer who violates ESD regulations? Do you feel a headache? For example, if a customer wears leather shoes to the workshop, your supervisor takes off the electrostatic cap in the non-EPA area of the EPA workshop, and the employee forgets to wear the electrostatic ring or forgot to correctly connect the electrostatic ring to the grounding wire while working.
So why do these people violate the rules? Why do they fail to comply with the rules, are they ignorant or unintentional?

This is because the workshop has not established a corresponding ESD management mechanism:
1. The access mechanism for entering the workshop is too wide. As long as personnel can enter, regardless of whether they have received ESD training or not, they can enter personnel information into the ESD access control system;
2. There is no mutual supervision mechanism in the workshop, and the ESD management of the workshop depends entirely on the spontaneous organization of front-line personnel.
Common ways to increase employees' ESD awareness include: ESD training for new employees, publicity on bulletin boards, and stickers. However, the effects of these methods are limited, and employees cannot fully comply with the regulations to implement them. Is there a better way to improve everyone's ESD awareness and actively participate in ESD management?
The answer is of course yes. First, an effective ESD access mechanism must be established:
1. Develop training materials for all levels of personnel, and different types of personnel should use different types of training materials;
2. When the trainees are different, different trainings are required:
Resident customers, suppliers, middle and high-level managers use emails to circulate and print simple textbooks for them to sign and learn;
Temporary visitors or suppliers who cannot be accompanied are accompanied by internal personnel. If there is an ESD violation during the process, the accompanying personnel shall be held accountable.
3. For front-line operators such as grassroots managers and engineers, use centralized training or allow them to study independently. After the study is completed, the corresponding personnel must be tested.
After the study is completed, the personnel information can be entered into the ESD access control system, and the entry and exit of personnel can be strictly managed.
After the access mechanism is established, an effective audit and evaluation mechanism must be established to ensure that the training effect is implemented.
At the same time, a mutual supervision mechanism must be established. Once a person violates the regulations, the person in charge of the area shall bear the corresponding responsibility, and the informant can get a certain reward.
Through such a complete ESD management mechanism, every employee and even customer can consciously and actively participate in your ESD management, making ESD management easier!
