Measurement and abnormal handling of anti-static wrist strap

In the previous article, I shared the use and operation of anti-static wrist straps and error demonstrations. This time I will tell you about the measurement and abnormal handling measures of anti-static wrist straps.
There are two commonly used measuring instruments for anti-static wrist straps: portable anti-static wrist strap tester and human body comprehensive tester.
The test methods of these two instruments are roughly the same: First, you must wear an anti-static wrist strap correctly, make sure that the metal block is in contact with the skin, insert the other end of the anti-static wrist strap into the port of the test instrument, and press it down with your hand without the wrist strap. The test button on the panel, during the test, the movable concealed buckle connection line of the wrist strap needs to be rotated back and forth to prevent the abnormal occurrence of long-term use of the wrist strap in one direction and unqualified in the other direction. The green light on the test panel means qualified, and the red light means unqualified.
Note: Before using the instrument, check whether the power of the instrument is normal, check whether the instrument has a qualified measurement label, and whether the label is within the validity period.
The difference between these two test instruments is that the portable anti-static wrist strap tester is used to make test records after the test is completed, and remarks on the badly tested wrist strap; however, after the test is completed with the human body comprehensive tester, the general system will automatically Enter the test record to facilitate the retrospective query of the data, without the need for manual recording.
Measures to deal with abnormal anti-static wrist straps:
If abnormalities are found during use, such as the wrist band is damaged, there is no elastic effect, the wearing of the wrist is easy to loose or the size of the plug does not match the socket of the alarm, and other abnormalities should be reported up in time, and the tested anti-static wrist strap should be replaced before operation.
An abnormality is found during the test. If the instrument displays "LOW" or "HIGH", it means the resistance is "low" or "high". Generally, self-test can be performed first in this case:
(1) Whether the skin is dry;
(2) Whether to wear an anti-static wrist strap correctly;
(3) Whether the wrist strap is properly connected to the instrument, and whether it is loose;
(4) Whether the instrument is normal, whether there is a qualified measurement label, and whether the label is within the validity period.
If there is no problem in the self-check, it can generally be judged as unqualified.
