Static Electricity Elimination by Air Ionization

There are many methods for eliminating static electricity, such as grounding and humidification. Another common method in workshops is ionization, which uses an electrostatic eliminator to ionize oxygen and nitrogen ions in the air, making the air a conductor and effectively eliminating static charges on object surfaces. Commonly used electrostatic eliminators include:

(a) Inductive Electrostatic Eliminator

It can be further divided into several types, such as steel grounding inductive, brush inductive, and needle tip inductive. It is mainly used in the paper, rubber, textile, and plastics production and processing industries.

(b) High-Voltage Electrostatic Eliminator

It mainly includes externally applied, industrial frequency AC, thyristor, and AC high-frequency high-voltage types. It can be selected according to different requirements in chemical and textile industries. In addition, there are high-voltage ion current and radioactive radiation forms, suitable for other special locations.
