Talking about anti-static measures in coal mine underground
Static electricity can sometimes have adverse effects on industrial production, especially electrostatic spark discharge, which often becomes a source of fire. With the development of industry, the harm caused by static electricity is more and more exposed, especially in coal mines. Electrostatic spark discharge has become one of the fire sources causing fires. Explosions or fires caused by electrostatic discharge have occurred, and the casualties are heavy. It is shocking, so it is very important to prevent static discharge sparks underground.

The main measures for static electricity protection in coal mines are to reduce frictional electrification. In the transmission device, the slip phenomenon on the tape and other transmission parts should be reduced, and the anti-static flame retardant material entering system should be strictly implemented, that is, flame retardant tape should be selected. The tape should be tightly elastic, maintain a certain tension, and avoid overload operation. The flame retardant tape should be made of conductive tape or conductive triangle tape with high transmission efficiency. Of course, the best way is to replace the tape drive with gear transmission. Reduce friction and strengthen routine maintenance.

In equipment for transporting inflammable and explosive objects, for example, workers carrying detonators on electromechanical vehicles should limit the speed of the vehicles. The speed of the locomotives must not exceed 2 m/s, which can greatly reduce the generation and accumulation of static electricity. (Coal Mine Safety Regulations) stipulates that it is strictly forbidden to transport explosive materials with scraper conveyors, belt conveyors, etc.
