Generally, the jacks of grounding sockets are made of brass or stainless steel, and generally will not be deformed. The wrist strap is directly inserted into the grounding jack and the connection becomes loose after a period of use. It should be the reason for the grounding plug of the wrist strap, not the jack.

The ground jack is a metal material with a fixed diameter and is unlikely to deform. Instead, what usually happens should be that the spring member on the lantern plug on the wrist strap is flattened by lateral force, causing it to come loose. Customers have the option to replace the grounding component of the wrist strap, or use an alligator clip for grounding instead. You can also use a tool to pry the shrapnel on the lantern plug outward so that it forms a bow.

Please note that the existing new banana-shaped plug will not be deformed after a long time of plugging and unplugging through experiments, so you can confirm it when purchasing and ordering wrist straps.
