Anti-static ESD coveralls are special work clothes with anti-static properties suitable for industries such as electronics, optical instruments, pharmaceuticals, microbiological engineering, and precision instruments. The fabric is generally a synthetic fiber fabric with conductive yarn embedded in it. It can be divided into two-piece anti-static dust-free suits and three-piece anti-static coveralls. Anti-static coveralls are made of anti-static and dust-proof fabric (commonly known as conductive silk), which is made of special polyester filaments and high-performance long-lasting conductive fibers through a special process. They have excellent and long-lasting anti-static and dust-proof functions and can effectively release static electricity from the human body. (1) First of all, anti-static work clothes refer to work clothes made of anti-static fabric to prevent static electricity accumulation on anti-static coveralls. Anti-static fabrics are fabrics that are roughly evenly or evenly mixed with conductive fibers or anti-static synthetic fibers or a mixture of the two during weaving. (2) Conductive fibers refer to the general term for fibers made of conductive materials or sub-conductive materials made entirely or partially of metal or organic matter, and their volume resistivity ρv~ is between 104 and 109 Ω/cm. According to the distribution of conductive components in the fiber, conductive fibers can be divided into three categories: uniform conductive component type, conductive component covering type, and conductive component composite type. At present, the vast majority of anti-static fabrics are made of conductive fibers, among which the conductive component composite type, that is, composite fibers, are the most commonly used. (3) Anti-static coveralls made by adding conductive fibers to chemical fiber fabrics are based on two mechanisms of charge leakage and neutralization. When grounded, the static electricity on the fabric is not only neutralized by the corona discharge of the conductive fiber, but can also be discharged to the ground through the conductive fiber; when not grounded, the static electricity is dissipated by the weak corona discharge of the conductive fiber.
